Just in case you didn’t already know…

Our 2020 and 7th Annual Talkbooks Author Event has been postponed and rescheduled to April 17, 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 

MARCH 25, 2020

Dear Friends,

We would like for you to please be aware that we are trying to figure out all of the logistics and details behind giving refunds. We will be emailing all ticket purchasers ASAP through the Brown Paper Tickets site to let you know how and what to expect and what to do to retain a refund. We want to try and make it easiest for everyone. We also understand that some people have either since got new cards that they used when they purchased, or they have sold their ticket to someone else. IF you have sold your ticket, we would like to ask that you make sure to have their info on hand so its available to you when we contact you. This should help ensure that the current ticket holder gets a refund.

IF you have pre-ordered from an attending author, they should be in contact with you in regards to how they are going to proceed with orders. IF you have yet to hear from them at this point, please feel free to reach out to them. Many of them have posted in our Facebook group too in case you may have missed it. Or if you’re not in the group, please join us over there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/talkbooksauthorevent/

We will miss seeing/meeting you all at the 2020 Talkbooks Author Event! However, please know that we (along with mostly all of our 2020 authors), are very much looking forward to seeing/meeting you on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

Hello Everyone!

We just wanted to pop in and catch you up up on our news.

But first, THANK YOU ! Thank you all so much for being so supportive and sticking by us through the past few years! We honestly can’t thank you all enough for your continued support. It means the world to us seriously. Our hope is for us to be able to continue to bring you the authors you love, and the ones you will love to our annual event. 

Today it is with great pleasure that we were finally able to bring to you the reveal of our new name…

The North Shore Author Signing (NSAS) is now called the Talkbooks Author Event (TAE)!

We have tried our best to update what we could and we will continue to update things as needed. Please note: Invites will start happening within the next couple of weeks, then  announcements will soon to follow, along with ticket information. 

In the mean time, please be sure to stay tuned for more news and info. If you want to stay connected with us elsewhere please be sure to join our group and/or follow our pages for updates.

Hello Friends,

We hope you are doing well! Wow can you believe that it’s already been about 2 months since our third annual author signing!?! What a day that was huh? And can you believe that it’s already time to get things going for next year? Well, it is in fact that time that we get the ball rolling for 2017. We’re just so excited to be going into our 4th Annual Event.

2017 is going to rock your socks off!!

But before we continue to rock your socks, we thought it’d be a great time to make a few changes with the event. The news we have coming up will be just one of the small changes we will have. But, regardless of any changes we may make, please remember we will always do what is best for you (the authors and readers). After all, you are the reason we do this. You are all our rock stars and we can’t do any of this without you. So for being there with us, and for us…we thank you!

So, after some serious consideration we have decided that as of June 2016, the North Shore Author Signing Event will have a new name. This decision was made because we want to do everything we possibly can to ensure that we can continue to do what we love with the best of our ability. And what is it that we love you ask? Well, it’s you. We love to help and support both the authors and readers. So, by us changing our name, it will be a better way for us to help better serve and support you.

However, we would like to assure you that going forward, the organizers behind the event will remain the same. Next to a few small changes here and there, everything will remain the same. The only thing major that will change is just the event name.

So yes, the event will still be hosted by the chicks at Talkbooks (Mindy, Lynne, Bethany, and Angela) and we will still continue to have help and support from Lexy (Owner of our sister blog, All Is Read), and Annie (former blogger at All Is Read). Together we will all still be bringing you the kick ass event that you have come to know and love.

So, please be sure to check back for the name reveal and announcement that’ll be coming soon!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2016 is sure going to be a fantastic year!

So, with it being the new year and all we’d thought we’d celebrate by giving you a very special SURPRISE!!!! You know how much we love surprising you but honestly, we know how much you love them.

The VIP admission fee includes but is not limited to…
BOTH THE SIGNING & AFTER PARTY ACCESS.
For the signing portion of the event you will be allowed to enter anytime from Noon-3:45 (event ends promptly at 4:00pm). For the After Party you can arrive anytime from 6pm-10:30pm (Party ends at 11:00pm). ALSO while we have your attention…please take note of the 2 hours time gap between the event and party (sorry but this time allows venue for the party set-up). A NSAS name tag lanyard (also doubles as your exclusive hassle free pass if you’ll be in and out of the party), ONE (1) NSAS Tote Bag, stationary cheese/fruit, passed hot apps, a light buffet style dinner, cash only bar, a fun DJ (so of course dancing too), and prizes.
