We’d like to welcome you to our annual Talkbooks Author Event!
Just in case you aren’t aware of us, here is a little of our event history…
As you may have heard or witnessed first hand, our last six events were all such a huge success. We are happy to say that we have hosted six consecutive annual events. Our seventh (2020) event was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic.
All tickets sold will either be replaced with a new ticket for 2021 or refunded. You should have reviewed an email from us from Brown Paper Tickets in regards to how to proceed. Please contact us via email and we will send you the link to either get replacement tickets or a refund.
Through the past events, we’ve had about 1000 attendees and over 200 authors. Many attending year after year. To us, (and we hope you) the last 7 years have been just simply amazing! So, if you were a part of one of our events, we just wanted to say thank you again! We just can’t thank you all enough for attending our event. We hope you had a great time and we hope to see you back at one of our future events!
So of with all the successes we’ve had in the past, we decided to do it all again and again. Until there is a drop in attendance or there is no longer a desire for it, we’re here to stay.

As of June 2016, the North Shore Author Signing officially changed names to Talkbooks Author Event!

Each of our events has taken place in a City just outside of Boston, MA.,
Both the Boston Peabody Marriott & the Boston Marriott Burlington have been the home to our event over the years.
A NOTE TO INTERESTED AUTHORS: We are always accepting interested authors as we arrange and organize the details of future events. Please refer here to show your interest.
In the mean time, please do not be discouraged if you do not receive an invitation right away. We only have so many spots to fill and usually, with 5 times the amount of authors signed up as interested. Even after we send out invitations, there may still be a possibility that you could get on as an attending author. Remember, people do have unexpected life changes and may have to drop from the event. In which case, we may need to refer back to our list. So don’t fret as there may be hope.
We are always so overwhelmed with the amount of people that want to attend. It really means so much to us that so many of you want to be a part of TAE. Please know that we will do our very best while making the selections when it comes to invites (invites usually don’t start going out at the end of April for the next event). We not only will try to get a good variety of genres but, we will also try to get a good variety of authors. We not only usual have established authors but new indie authors as well (must have one book out by the time the event takes place). So please, bare with us while we are in the selection process for the upcoming year. The invitation process can take time as we vet each and every author in attendance to ensure we are presenting our readers with a line up they’ll be sure to love. Regardless of who is invited, we do love and appriciate you all! If you don’t get on as an author for our next event, there will always be an opportunity another year as we have no plans on going anywhere. 😉

Wondering how your ticket sales are doing – how many are left?? Thinking about travelling to go to this event but worried about travel costs. Any special deals if a participant stays at the Marriott?

Hi Tracy! I just happened to see your question and was wondering if you were able to resolve it because I had the same issue. If you printed the tickets online it was through Brown Paper Bag so if you go to that site, you look up your purchase and reprint the tickets. Good Luck.
